Reviews:
-The book will serve best as supplemental reading in courses focusing on US sport and its entanglement with economics, education, media, politics, religion, science, and technology. Its audience will be those who are largely unfamiliar with sport as it relates to the American value system....Lower- and upper-division undergraduates; general readers. —Choice
-" Each entry lays out the essential facts of the case in two or three pages, concluding with a one or two-paragraph analysis of the significance of the episode to the sport of to American society. Recommended for high school and public libraries." —Doug's Student Reference Room
