Elizabeth Cothen Low, a freelance writer, worked as a Children's Librarian at Rantoul Public Library in Illinois, where her responsibilities entailed programming, collection development, readers' advisory, and promotion. She has a M.L.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She lives in Queens, New York with her husband and two children.
