  • "The entries are well written and informative, making for easy reading and a lively entry into a fascinating field. This book should serve as an annotated conceptual appetizer, introducing readers to the vast banquet of concepts, literature, and scholarship upon which moral education draws."

  • "Moral Education: A Handbook provides a critical source of information about moral education for parents, teachers, scholars, and students, including religious moral education, moral philosophy, psychology, and character/civics education. The value of this book is its A-Z format offering the reader quick access to topics and information of interest and need. The introduction to this series adds an excellent overview of the history of moral education from colonial times to the present . . . The entries are clearly written, and are detailed but not burdened with professional jargon. They are relevant, current, and practical. The editors provide an extensive bibliography, an index that is cross-referenced for ease of use and research, materials for additional study, and a biography of editors and contributors."
