The engaging artciles average 20 to 30 pages in length and contain substantive, documented information. Entries are detailed and interesting. For instance, the essay on Sandra Cisneros provides excellent insight into how her childhood feelings of isolation impacted her life and her writing, and how her sense of responsibility to the Latino community affected her work. Subsections focusing on specific literary works will be valuable to students studying her writings. Articles include black-and-white photographs and concluse with a list of suggested additional readings and notes."
