Series Title:
Biographies of Disease
Reviews:
Biographies of Disease: Depression
...provides biography-oriented insight into the personal lives of those who have suffered from this disease. Drawing from historical and current examples, and parelleling many major events from world history, the book seems timeless in its ability to capture the consistencies of human suffering and the distress often associate with depression. The use of case vignettes and letters serves to personalize the seemingly unrelenting inner anguish of those who have not responded to intervention or have not been fortunate enough to receive it.
