About the Author: Dr. Wajuppa Tossa, an educator and storyteller, teaches English and American Literature, Children's Literature, and Storytelling at Mahasarakham University in Thailand is founder of the university's Storytelling Project and author of a Lao Folk Course and several scholarly books on Lao Folk traditions. She also appears at storytelling festivals worldwide.

Kongdeuane Nettavong, Director of the National Library of Laos and author of several folktale collections, including a picture book collection of 10 tales, and a collection of Lao Folktales about herbs and herbal medicine.

Margaret Read MacDonald is a folklorist, master storyteller, and a prolific author. She is a member of the advisory board of the World Folklore series, and has edited a number of other volumes in the series.
