Entries are headed by author's birth year and birthplace, and, if applicable, date of death and by signature work and primary genres, such as environmental writing or travel narratives. The biographical sketches are around 850 words and are followed by selected lists of works broken down into such categories as nonfiction, fiction, and teleplays. Each entry also has a listing of print and Internet resources for futher information.
