McIntosh has compiled a thorough guide to the research related to suicide. Because of its interdisciplinary nature, suicide can be a difficult topic to search, but this bibliography pulls all of this information together, covering historical as well as current issues on the topic. Items are selected from journals, dissertations, books, government documents, and proceedings. McIntosh also identifies specific journals, associations, and computer databases related to suicide. More than 2,300 citations are listed here; they are clearly presented and often contain indexing information, making it possible for readers to locate related information. The bibliography covers English-language references mainly from the 1970s and early 1980s. ...highly recommended for any library serving medical and social science students, community college through graduate.
