Play & Culture Studies is concerned with furthering our understanding of the phenomenon of play in humans and in animals, and across various cultural, social, and activity settings. We view play as a significant subject in its own right, quite apart from the various biological, sociological, and cultural functions it may serve, so we investigate play as a legitimate and necessary lens for understanding evolution and behavior. Play & Culture Studies publishes blind reviewed materials that furthers scholarship regarding play. The series is linked with The Association for the Study of Play (TASP).
