Theoretical Issues in Cognitive Science presents monographs and collections from a wide range of areas of cognitive science, all of which examine problems in the field from the broader perspective of what they have to say about the nature of the scientific study of cognition. These are primarily foundational studies, with content that arises from a wide range of current scientific and philosoph-ical concerns. Topics range from issues in semantics and internationality to foundational questions about the computational theory of mind. The books present scientific as well as philosophical perspectives and cover contributions to foundational and method-ological discussions that have arisen from experimental psychology, artificial intelligence and cognitive neuroscience.
