These guidelines are designed to answer questions you may have as you prepare to submit your manuscript. We have prepared this guide to aid you throughout the publication process. Please read these instructions carefully, and retain them for reference. We look forward to working with you and trust that you will contact your acquisitions editor with any questions or concerns you may have.

Publishing: A Cooperative Venture
The transformation of a manuscript to bound book is a cooperative process between author and publisher. Praeger welcomes the opportunity to work with you to publish a book that is intellectually sound, visually appealing, and marketable to its particular audience. These guidelines are designed to make that process work as smoothly as possible.

Once your manuscript has been submitted in its entirety, your acquisitions editor will review it. After your editor and other Praeger personnel have reviewed your manuscript and approved it for publication, it will be transmitted to the production department, where it will be assigned to a production manager. Your production manager will supervise the project from manuscript to bound book. Production schedules depend to a marked degree on the care with which the manuscript was prepared and on your cooperation throughout the production process. You will receive specific instructions at each stage of production.
