We recommend using a solid carton or padded mailing envelope and Priority Mail for sending unedited manuscripts and proofs. For edited manuscripts and for materials being sent from Canada or Mexico, we recommend using UPS, Express Mail, or an overnight carrier. Packages being transported overseas should be sent by overseas airmail. Retain duplicates of all materials.

All illustrations and disks should be well protected in shipping. Use a padded envelope or mailing tube labeled “PHOTOGRAPHS (or ARTWORK): DO NOT BEND.” You may also want to consider emailing digital files or artwork to your acquisitions editor as a backup.
