Politics and Current Events

Praeger's Politics program provides general readers, journalists, and policymakers with timely information about issues that are in the news and of enduring importance. Our authors are experts in their fields, writing about what they know best, and our books address questions that confront our readers daily, from healthcare to election issues, as well as ongoing concerns like terrorism and national security, global warming, poverty, hate crimes, privacy, and energy. Core areas are American politics and public policy; international affairs and foreign policy; civil rights, civil liberties, and human rights; and journalism and democracy. Education

The education of our schoolchildren is one of the most important and also controversial areas of public discourse. The Praeger Education list is designed to inform parents, teachers, counselors, therapists, school administrators, public officials, students, and other concerned citizens about our current and perennial educational issues. Our books explore such topics as student achievement, learning styles, student testing, disabilities, teacher training, No Child Left Behind, public schools, charter schools, and computer use in the classroom.

Higher Education
