Forthcoming in Fall 2006:
World Folklore and Folklife

Every group in every culture creates its own body of folklore. How we dress, what we eat, what we say, what our names are and why, the stories we tell to our children, and the anecdotes from our own lives, are all part of folklore. Folklore links the past with the present and the future, and provides a multi-cultural entry point from which to examine all aspects of traditional culture. Sign up for a free trial to World Folklore and Folklife and get a fresh slant on core curriculum topics such as arts, languages, literature, religion, and history.

New look for Daily Life Online

Daily Life Online is two years old this summer, and it has grown up a lot since it first launched. In fact, we have added so much new content that the integrated site is being thoroughly re-indexed and re-designed. The new homepage, developed in response to users’ comments, puts more features – images, maps, multimedia, Tours through Time – up front, while the assisted browse makes exploring the site even easier. The new homepage goes live in September 2006.

November 2006 Enhancement

See a full list of titles being added in November. 18 new titles will be added to Daily Life through History and 29 titles to World Cultures Today.

The African American Experience

New from Greenwood Publishing Group, the African American Experience is the definitive reference tool for African American history and culture. Find out more about the site, or sign up for a free trial at http://www.greenwood.com/aae/.
