New Look for Daily Life Online
Daily Life Online turned two this summer, and it has grown up a lot since the product first launched in 2004. In fact, we have added so much new content that the integrated site has been thoroughly re-indexed and re-designed. The new homepage, developed in response to users’ comments, puts more content up front, while the assisted browse makes exploring the site even easier. The new homepage goes live in Winter 2006. Forthcoming in Fall 2006World Folklore and Folklife
Every group in every culture creates its own body of folklore. How we dress, what we eat, what we say, what our names are and why, the stories we tell to our children, and anecdotes from our own lives, are all part of folklore. Folklore links the past with the present and the future and provides a multicultural entry point from which to examine all aspects of traditional culture. Sign up for a free trial to World Folklore and Folklife and get a fresh support to core curriculum topics such as arts, languages, literature, religion, and history. For more information on this product go to www.greenwood.com/dailylife. December 2006 EnhancementOur usual September enhancement has been moved to December due to the Daily Life Online redesign and re-launch, as well as the launch of World Folklore and Folklife. The focus of the enhancement is on Food, including all available Greenwood Food Culture books and 20 articles on important foodstuffs–oil, bread, beer, meat, water, etc. This enhancement adds the full text of nearly 50 new titles to Daily Life through History and World Cultures Today. See the full list of titles being added in December. |
