New Look for Daily Life OnlineWe hope you like the new look for the Daily Life Online homepage! There is no change to your existing subscription -- all of the award-winning content remains -- but the site has been redesigned and fully re-indexed to provide a more user-friendly browse experience and even better search results. As of November 28th, if you subscribe to any combination of Daily Life products (for example, Daily Life through History + World Cultures Today) your home page will now look like this:
We'd love to hear from you about our redesign. If you have comments or questions, please let us know at dailylife@greenwood.com Note: Customers who subscribe to Daily Life through History only are unaffected by this change. Launch of World Folklore and Folklife
On November 28, 2006, the latest addition to the Daily Life Online suite was launched. World Folklore and Folklife is the only electronic resource broad enough to provide both folk material and the textual content needed to understand it. Thousands of folk tales are searchable by region, culture and subject, and linked to relevant contextual information. It offers students the opportunity to research topics as varied as literature, gender roles, and cultural studies. Find out more about World Folklore and Folklife and discounted subscription rates at www.greenwood.com/dailylife! Growth of Daily Life OnlineSince launching Daily Life Online in the summer of 2005, the Daily Life content has increased by 5 million words or approximately 110% and the World Cultures Today content by 3 million words or approximately 200%. Even with the addition of this much new content the price has only increased by 10%. Our BIGGEST-Ever Enhancement Coming in March 2007Due to an abundance of new content, our Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 enhancements have been combined and will release in March 2007. The full text of over 80 new titles, 20 new articles, and 10 new Tours through Time make up our largest enhancement to date! New content will range from food culture and recipes, scientific experiments and technology, religions, folktales and folklore, plus many new Cultures and Customs and Daily Life through History titles. See the full list of titles to be added to the enhancement coming next March. ALA Midwinter in Seattle, January 20-22, 2007Visit Greenwood Publishing at Booth #2202 to see our databases in action or see the full demonstration schedule. |
