NEW! Daily Life America
Read how pre-Columbian Native Americans traveled and hunted, what immigrant farmers did during holidays, what it was like to work in a factory during the Industrial Revolution, what a house in Levittown looked like, and much more. The Web site is arranged by topic, region, and period, as spelled out in the National Standards for United States History. This in-depth organization allows students and researchers to compare and contrast what daily life was like, say, on a cotton plantation in the South, a frontier town in the West, and a whaling village on the East Coast during the antebellum period. Special features include a State-by-State Resource Guide, offering in-depth information on each of the states, as well as primary documents, maps, photos, and links to vetted Web sites.

Daily Life America is the fourth member of the Daily Life Online suite of products; it is offered as a standalone database or fully integrated into the DLO family. This new product expands DLO's coverage, making it a truly comprehensive, curriculum-related social history Web site, covering past and present, the United States, and the world.

Changes to Daily Life through History
To offer librarians greater flexibility, and based on customer feedback, we now offer two ordering options for Daily Life through History. Option 1 is our original, superlative, and multi-award winning Daily Life through History Basic. Option 2 is Daily Life through History Premium: Featuring Daily Life through History plus the award-winning World Cultures Today together in one integrated interface.

Daily Life through History Basic is the only source you'll need to find the extraordinary in the ordinary throughout history. Subscribe to Daily Life through History Basic or upgrade to the Premium edition.

Combining the original Daily Life through History and World Cultures Today databases, DLtH Premium offers a fantastic array of information on people and places past and present. Based on the landmark Greenwood Encyclopedia of Daily Life and our Daily Life through History, Cultures and Customs, and History of Modern Nations book series, DLtH Premium is supported by an active publishing program that ensures an ever-expanding and updated base of original, scholarly content.

Basic or Premium can also be combined with either or both of our complementary social history databases: World Folklore and Folklife and Daily Life America.
