Cathal Nolan is an Associate Professor of History and Political Science, and Executive Director of the International History Institute at Boston University. He is the founding editor of two book series for Praeger, editor of four other volumes, and author of several monographs and other major works, including Principled Diplomacy (1995) Ethics and Statecraft (1995), and the four-volume Greenwood Encyclopedia of International Relations (2002). An award-winning teacher, he has lectured at universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and in Latin America.
